How to fix Windows 10 not found wifi networks?

Windows 10 is the latest version of the Windows operating system, which was first released in 2015. It was made available as a free upgrade for people who were using Windows 7 or Windows 8 on their computers. Although this is an operating system with solid performance, there are instances where certain issues can arise, which we’re going to look at today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we will tackle the Windows 10 no WiFi networks found issue.

How do we fix Windows 10 no wifi network found

Before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below, it is best to first restart your computer and wireless LAN router. This action updates the operating system and removes any corrupted temporary data that could be causing the problem.

Almost all Windows 10 laptops sold today already have a built-in WiFi adapter that allows the device to easily connect to any WiFi network. One of the problems you might encounter is that the laptop will not be able to detect a WiFi network. There are several factors that can cause this problem, from a corrupted driver to a problem with the router. Below are the troubleshooting steps you need to take to fix this issue.

Update your WiFi drivers

If the problem started right after installing an update, there is a chance that your current drivers are not compatible with the new update. You need to update your WiFi drivers and then check if the problem still occurs.

Press Windows key + R to open run
Type devmgmt.msc in the scrolling text box and press Enter to open the Device Manager window.
Go to “Network Adapters” and expand this section. Here you will find the WLAN card drivers. If you don’t see your Wi-Fi network card here, it’s probably not installed, so you can find it in the “Other” section with a yellow triangle next to it.
Right-click the device and select “Update Driver Software”.
Click “Search automatically for updated driver software” to enable an automatic search. For better results, connect to the Internet via Ethernet.
Allow the computer to search for and install the drivers.
Check if the Windows 10 no WiFi networks found issue still occurs.

Uninstall WiFi adapter
If the problem is caused by a corrupted driver, you should uninstall your WiFi driver.

Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.
Type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box and then press Enter to open Device Manager.
Go to ‘Network Adapters’ and expand this section. Here you will find the WLAN card drivers. Right click on your wireless card device and click uninstall.
Allow the uninstall. This will delete the corrupted or incompatible drivers.
Restart your computer.
Windows 10 will detect hardware changes and install the correct drivers.
If Windows doesn’t install the correct drivers, you’ll have to do it manually.

In the Device Manager window, click “Action” and select “Scan for hardware changes”.
This will find and install the uninstalled driver.
If scanning for hardware changes doesn’t reinstall your device, you’ll need to scan for them manually. In the Device Manager window, click “View” and select “Show hidden devices” (unless there is already a checkmark on the left). If you still don’t see your device, click Action and select Scan for hardware changes.
Your Wi-Fi adapter device will be listed under “Other Devices” with a yellow triangle on it.
Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
Click “Search automatically for updated driver software” to enable an automatic search
Allow the computer to search for and install the drivers.
Restart your computer.
You can also run the hardware troubleshooter to install the driver.
